CHURCHES & ORGANIZATIONS

CLCCS exist to assist individuals, couples and families in their journey towards mental, emotional and spiritual wholeness.

We are here to help you better serve and equip your members.

We do so by bringing the professional services to you. Counseling can help to increase mental and emotional stability, while decreasing interpersonal conflict, thus allowing your members to maximize the potential for their spiritual growth and development.

As a Pastor/Leader, you can ensure that your members are being served by qualified, well trained professionals who are also Christians with similar beliefs. We are excited to offer several Counseling service options to your Church/Organization!

WHAT'S THE NEED?

Statistics based on various 2014 polls of the United States in a given year:

  • 70.6% of the U.S. population identifies themselves as Christian (Pew Research Center)

  • Approximately 1 in 5 adults (18.5%) experience mental illness (NAMI)

  • Approximately 1 in 5 youth aged 13-18 (21.4%) experience a severe mental disorder at some point in their life.

  • Children aged 8-15 are estimated at 13% (NAMI)

  • Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death. The 3rd leading cause of death for ages 10-24. The 2nd leading cause for ages 15-24 (NAMI)

  • African American and Hispanic Americans use mental health services about 1/2 the rate of Caucasians Americans.

  • Asian Americans, about 1/3 the rate (NAMI)

  • 49% of Pastors rarely or never speak to their church in sermons or large group messages about mental illness (Life Way Research)

Considering these statistic alone, it is safe to conclude that many of the individuals who reported having a mental illness are also Christian. Although mental illness is not the only cause for needing counseling services, this highlights the need for both education regarding mental health, specifically as it relates to the Christian community, and also the need for qualified, trained individuals to provide counseling services.
